This would probably be in my top 5 favourite SnK episodes. There was just something special about it that makes it stand out it completely changed the perspective of the story and completed so much in such a short time. Only 20 minutes and it felt like 3 episodes worth of story and yet it was paced perfectly. Much like "That Day" S3 E20.
Seeing what they had to go through AS CHILDREN was heartbreaking. Knowing they would be hated knowing they had 13 years left to live they were children they did it to save their families Reiner just wanted to have a family. It really emphasized the two sides to every story moral and made it clear Reiner was never the bad guy
Brilliant work from Hajime Isayama

I think it is really safe to say that Reiner is such a well written character. I hated this trio (Bert. Annie, Reiner) since I learned that they caused everything since episode 1. But time after time I really began to understand that they are nothing but puppets that were being used. The Scene at the end with Reiner gave me goosebumps. And the scene before the ending... oh man, I think this is building up to something incredible.

One Piece can't be added into list of anime you should watch before you die because you will probably die before you finish it. So stop wasting your time on something no end and watch other shows that worth your time and more beneficial.
Pacing was fast, but not bad at all

I was worried a bit about the quality of animation before this ep but MAPPA improved it a lot in this ep.
as a manga reader, I saw some panels were removed but they weren't main panels so it's alright. pacing was fast but not bad at all.
Overall this ep was the best ep of s4 so far
Underrated episode

Things happen too fast

This episode skipped some events from the manga, which weren t that important, but the scenes didn t have the impact it should have had. With the content skipped you could make easily 2 better and interestinflg episodes with more emotional impact...I feel a little dissapointed but Mappa did a good job with the adaptation.
One piece of s**t fans AOT is GOAT

The Best episode in the season so far. Period

Wow... yet another great episode, Reiner's flashback was great, it showed a lot of stuff about the warriors and how they lived, Reiner is becoming one of my favorite AoT characters, definitely Top 3.
The animations were top notch, I couldn't have asked for more than what was given. Thank you MAPPA.
-------SPOILERS-
and that ending...wow man that conversation that Falco had with that guy :) was phenomenal to me, definitely a 10/10 episode.... I'm very exited for the next episodes
Fantastic Backstory
BadgerStorm434520 December 2020
The backstory of the warriors has been one of the best episodes in the show's run. The Animation looked fantastic in this episode and the new art style was shown in full for the first time with the Titan Shifters. The parallels between Reiner and Eren are insane and as a manga reader, the next couple episodes are going to blow Season 3 out of the water.
Seriously?

Attack on Titan has no anime notes, has giant series notes
Rodzman20 December 2020
I have a lot of fun reading the comments lol, it is a fact to say that Attack on Titan has the best average scores of all TV series, AOT's notes don't even compare with anime notes, they already compare with giant series, like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, same level, very high marks and very good reviews, those who give 1/10 feel jealous that AOT is a consistent work, there is no discrepancy in the episodes like an episode 10/10 and another 6/10 the note the lowest I gave for an episode of AOT was 8/10 and only, all episodes of AOT are interesting and a show to see, a real spectacle.
Solid backstory and Reiner episode
aidangoogo20 December 2020
This episode delivers a great backstory on the warriors and how and why they attacked the wall. Reiner is so interesting and Falco's conversation with that "random dude" was so gripping and deep. The animation and music was spot on, only good things to say throughout the start season 4!
I have one word to say about the anime ( legend)

Skipped around too much
joshstokley20 December 2020
First two episodes were great and now this episode. Could of been great but just skipped around the entire time and honestly felt like a waste and was confusing. I feel like Reiners story could have been explained better. Im worried moving forward the episodes will do a lot of skipping around bc there is soooo much content to fit into 13 more episodes. I really hope they dont mess this up by ending it so fast.
Disappointing if you read the manga / Confusing if you only watch the anime

Warning: Spoilers
This, like the previous episodes before, has been SO rushed. I love Reiner's backstory and RBA's perspective on the invasion of the walls. The fact that they kept the Kenny scene and cut Annie's involvement in the breach of the wall is mind boggling. It just looks like Reiner choked her out and she was passed out the whole time, only waking up inside the walls later. The Kenny scene makes even less sense because they also cut a conversation explaining what she would be doing. The height of my expectations for this season and MAPPA in general is being lowered by each episode. Call it nitpicking or whatever but going from WIT's pacing and superb OST usage (wtf even was the track choice this episode) is jarring to say the least. A definitive downgrade from previous seasons even though the story itself just gets better from here on out.
