A 12 step meeting in presumed church. Eight men. And the presence, not comfortable first, of a woman.

The reserves . Her speech. About name. About identity. About the acceptance of identity of a non binary trans person. The target is precise, the tension becomes intense and heavy.

Reactions. And its determination. Powerful images, clear message.

Many motives to admire this short film, from cinematography to the acting. But essential remains the message. Not very easy to be accepted . But precise, honest, powerful crafted.

A beautiful story. A moving end. In essence, a film about true courage . And need to be accepted .

perfect portrayal of trans experience

Everything about this is so wonderful. It perfectly reflects the trans experience and, as a trans person, made me really happy to see, even though it is quite a sad film. This film really nails the feeling of trans anger, at just being so fed up with people not being accepting, of having to hide, and of being rejected by those who are supposed to be there for you. The actor for Frankie did an amazing job and was extraordinarily compelling, as well as all of the other actors present. A combination of amazing screenwriting, direction, set-dressing and the perfect selection of actors really made this film something that I'll remember. :)
