- There is a short, but very intense fight between two kids. Beforehand, one kid holds the other kid at gunpoint.
- There are multiple scenes where a Demodog is seen murdering people. But it is mostly seen through a surveillance camera, so not graphic at all.
- A man chops a Demogorgon's arm and head off. Blood is clearly seen here, and the entire thing is shown onscreen.
- There's a scene when a demodog survivor is seen with visible scars on his fase. Tissue and muscle can be seen.

- Joyce takes off her clothes and we can see her in a bra. This scene lasts a few seconds.
Violence & Gore
- A character is killed by the demobats
- A character is dissolved in half by an otherworldly presence. It's darkly lit, but red lighting clearly illuminates the character's ribs, spine, blood and intestines as they melt. Very, very quick (2 seconds max and the camera moves the entire time), but the imagery combined with the character's scream of pain makes for a chilling and disturbing death.
- A character is cut in half and he screams in agony.
- When Eddie decides to fight demobats in the upside down he gets attacked by a horde of them, gets bitten plenty of times which causes him to start bleeding, lies down on the ground, says his last words and dies.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The ending of this episode, especially the final hour, is very emotional as we see many important characters near death, some dead and their fates unknown.
- The scene where Max "dies" is super emotional and will definitely make viewers cry. But near the end she is revived by Eleven and just left in a coma.
- A character is shown in a gymnasium hiding from the villain, when the balloons in the gym begin to pop, and blood spills out. This happens several times and can be disturbing to some viewers as it build suspense in the scene.
- Some of Max's bones snap similar to Chrissy, Fred and Patrick, and her eyes start bleeding but don't explode.
- The episode ends with Hawkins suffering an "earthquake" cause by Vecna opening the fourth and final gate, leading to many deaths. It leads to many glowing red cracks throughout Hawkins (One of them kill a character, Jason, in a gruesome manner). In the final minutes, it appears that the Upside Down Hawkins is "bleeding" into the real Hawkins, ending with a cliffhanger.
