Peter Gould, executive producer, revealed at the Tribeca Festival premiere that they had always wanted to do a beach scene; this is the first to appear in either "Breaking Bad" or "Better Call Saul." It was also the last scene filmed for the entire show and the only one to be filmed outside of New Mexico.
The opening scene in the living room with Kim, Jimmy and Lalo was shot in two parts with a time interval of two months. During the filming of the first part, Bob had his heart attack and had to be revived by EMTs from the set of BCS and a show that was filming nearby.
"Chichifo" is Mexican slang for a male gay prostitute. It can also refer to someone who acts in an effeminate manner.
This episode was screened early at the Tribeca Festival on June 18, 2022.
The movie playing on the TV is Born Yesterday (1950) starring William Holden and Judy Holliday (who won the Best Actress Oscar) and directed by George Cukor.
