- Peyton, wickedly foxy as ever, switches to a new objective as she learns that Nick's family is loaded with money. She has to eliminate Reese as a rival for Nick's affections to achieve that goal. Noticing that Veronica wears dolphin-shaped earrings as she begrudgingly sees him comp her a drink at the bar, she hunts around for a similar pair, and after casually dropping a hint to Reese re this rendezvous and just exactly what Veronica was wearing, she gains entry to Nick's room and plants one little golden trinket as damning evidence. Tom presents Reese with the diary which contains evidence that her mother bequeathed half of Burton Industries to Reese. Cassie does a soulful number at the Savannah much to her father's unexpected delight, and Peyton arranges a meeting between Nick and Reese. Reese finds the earring under the pillow and lashes out at Nick, storming off. Peyton is set for takeover...
