Great interpretation

This episode really focused on Marcus and Phoebe's relationship in a way that the books didn't. I loved it! It was such an important plot line that got missed in the books and this show really gave it the time it deserved.

I liked the parallel between present and past but nothing really important happened. A downgrade from the last couple episodes.

And here we go with the woke b.s.

Warning: Spoilers
As silly as this series is at times, overall it is well done. For those not in the know, every TV show after their first season on has to answer to social activists. There aren't enough gay, trans, people of color, etc. In this series. So, you get some sort of ridiculous crap like some character being straight, then gay, then straight like Angela in Bones. Or Amy Acker's character in Person of Interest being gay. This has NOTHING to with the story so it came across as really forced. Here we have some statement about border control. Of course, they are referring to the Mexican border wall and Brexit. Somehow they managed to insert their stupid politics in a series about witches, daemons and vampires. I have yet to finish Season 2, but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Boring! Phoebe sucks

Warning: Spoilers
What is this story with Marcus and Phoebe? He has known her for like 3 days and he is telling her everything about the secrets of the vampires? That is dumb and doesn't make sense. Marcus is a doctor and he never works except the first time we saw him getting off his shift in season 1, that doesn't make any sense.

And Marcus reveals the baby witch?? What a complete and udder moron of a Vampire. Hope he dies soon so the stupid characters die off!

A missed opportunity, a Sci-fi turned drama turned snoozefest

Warning: Spoilers
This show has exhausted my patience! While I enjoy season 1 and first few eps of season 2, I must admit the show nosedive downhill real fast. By the time, I watched eps 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, I didn't even want to bother anymore. I expected more actions and magics. But nothing's there. More and more of the family drama, stupid boring conversation and backstory no one cares about. Satu is nowhere to be found either.

And, Gosh, I can't stand Marcus!! He gave the world's most unconvincing performance and persona as the grand master of the Lazarus Knights. He's just too plain, lethargic and "meh" all the time. The "grand master" title should be earned, not inherited. Oh he didn't even want it to begin with! The title got shoveled in his mouth by his father. He only uses that to impress his girl as if, without it, he's got nothing else to impress any girl. I don't care about Marcus and his gf side story at all.

Adding more insults to the injury, Diana's aunts also suck at magic. Their ritual to conjure the spirit of Diana's mother has failed again and again and again. It's just frustrating and annoying. Who wrote these characters?? (I miss aunt Zelda and Hilda from Sabrina.) Whenever the story features the scenes between Diana's two aunts or between Peter Knox and Gerbert, I feel a lot like "more two old ladies talking" or "more two old men talking". Greeeeeat, I just can't relate to these characters and don't feel the emotions these characters tried to convey. I also don't care about a baby witch who's born into demon's family either. The show spent way too much time down right into the moment the mom went into labor and delivered that baby. For what?? The only characters I enjoy watching are Diana, Matthew and his father Philippe and all the end-credit songs.

I can't believe I've wasted my time patiently watching 'till ep 2.8. It's done for me! Somebody sticks a fork in me. I'm so done! A 2-star rating from me is called 'mercy'.
