This 2nd and most famous version of "99 Red Balloons", the English version of Nena's classic hit is almost the exact same music video as the German one. The director edited
down some images from the original clip, changed the order of events with the group performing the song on a field where explosions happen in the background and a red balloon
bursts in the air, and a new footage from a live concert was inserted along with those images. That's it.
I just prefer hearing this version since the song sounds better in English than in German (just my opinion) even though the lyrics became nonsensical and far away from being an exact translation of the original version. The re-edited order makes everything looks faster than the original video which has an exact order of its own (the performance begins in the afternoon and moves to the night without changing order like in this one). The song, in terms of sound (that awesome bass!) is practically the same. You can't go wrong with such a classic. One of my favorite of all time. 9/10.
