I was so confused during this entire episode, I had no idea what was going on. This feels like a different show than the one from season 1. This episode was just madness the whole way through, and not in a good way. This show has somehow turned from a teen drama to a psychological horror, however this episode just made me laugh the whole way through, which was not the intention of the episode. The story line also makes no sense, I feel like the writers were having a mental breakdown while writing this episode.
I give it 4/10 purely because this episode was hilarious but like I said that wasn't their intention, the cinematography was pretty good and the acting is good for the most part. Well I still have 6 episodes left maybe it will become better but I highly doubt it.

I mean, its not that bad but, really? Two teachers for 50 students? Why clay's psychiatrist leave him go to the camp? Why nobody cares for clay, he was all day they lost and his mother didnot care? Take him to a hospital! Why all the characters are taking stupid choices? I dont know what happens in USA but in my country police cant enter in schools, there cant be cameras in schools and it has to be at least one teacher for 3 students in every camp, excuse my english,
Its not bad, its just stupid but watchable
All over the place and off on so many levels. Review through halfway point.

First off the season is def worst one. For a show that prides itself on tackling mental health and suicide issues they have Clays diagnoses way off. It seems he's suffering from schizophrenia more than any type of anxiety disorder. The constant paranoia and auditory and regular hallucinations is so far from anxiety it's not even in the same realm. I just don't get what they are trying to do to clay . The whole Alex gay or not gay or confused is really silly as well. My favorite character from past season was Justin and even he is just more an annoyance than anything else. Ani still sucks all together and the rest of them are all in these forced and awkward relationships. Tony is being harassed by school security and worried about his family situation from last season, and putting together a semi pro fight to make money so he can have his family smuggled from Mexico to US.? Lol, I mean cmon. Why is Alex father constantly at the school and targeting students on his own time to flip on each other?? Just a convoluted mess but I'll stick with it for hope that something coherent comes together, but boy what a mess halfway through.
Wtf is going on anymore?

Seriously this season is the worst by far. They should have stopped after the first one maybe the second. I'm watching from pure curiosity on how it's going to develop. This episode though.... friday the 13th whaaaat? I seriously have no words to describe it. Nothing makes sense. Everybody hates everybody, no explanations, no motives and also why are there only two adults there WHO ARE NOT EVEN IN THE SCHOOL FACULTY!
Funny

This entire season is great for watching with friends and drinks, laughing and yelling all night. This episode was hilarious. Funniest moment in the entire show is when Jessica pulled her hand out from a log to reveal it covered in maggots only to scream while Alex runs, and projectile vomits onto a nearby tree.
Unbeleivable

Even though this isnt the greatest show ever, the first season was actually really good. The plot, the twists, the characters development and specially the relevant topics that were mentioned.
Second and third seasons where okay, clearly it shouldve finished just with the first one, but they werent that bad.
This (hopefully) final season is amazing, the plot has NO sense, the characters are just randomly having halloucinations all at the same time, they are taking anti-natural desitions and everybody hates everybody.
But this chapter is a masterpiece, its probabbly the worst episode of any series Ive seen and Ive seen a lot.
Next level, congratulations to the story writers

What was the point of this episode?

First, it's so unrealistic. Clay has been having panic attacks and he decides to go on a trip when he knows he won't be able to deal with "pranks" and attacks from the jocks? And why is Jess hanging out with that guy? Let's admit it, that so called prank was seriously creepy and those phone calls were practically bullying. She claims that she doesn't need a guy but she's been getting closer tho the jock guy just to make Justin jealous? Okaaay.
Secondly, can't anyone see Clay is on the edge? They really overdid this Clay-getting-out-of-his-mind storyline. Also, anxiety and panic attacks are also an important topic that needs more awareness. But the way that show is being, it's not going to start any conversations, like the first or second season did.
Thirdly, what is a purpose of this episode? It really seems like a filler. It seems like it doesn't move the story forward. The whole storyline is kinda weird this season, it doesn't go anywhere. It's like protagonists were waiting and trying to get through until the graduation.

Filler

Warning: Spoilers
This is more of a filler episode than anything... Things continue to happen without explanation but at the same time, it feels like the story is staying in neutral. If it's not the football players who are blackmailing - the options are dwindling themselves down.
WHATTT WHY THE LOW RATING

Clay's Anxiety
ZegMaarJus14 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Sheriff Diaz, he sees that Clay 'killed' a dummy. Clay is scared when he returned to school. Liberty High School is on a senior camping trip in the woods. Alex fell into the water, he is on a boat with Zach. Jessica and Justin got scared in the woods. Diego locked up Clay in a cave. Clay find his way out of the cave. Alex tells the others that he hates camping. Mediocre Episode of 13 Reasons Why Season 4, this was just the worst Episode of 13 Reasons Why. This Season is just not good enough so far. They just could have ended it after Season 3. I hope it will be better!
Truly great

This was actually a really good episode that really kept me on my feet . Majority of fans prolly got caught off guard with the horror theme added but I thought it was awesome. Gotta admit pretty random for this series though
Loved it

Episode 4 is an interesting episode to me when i first watched this episode I did not like second time well i enjoyed it a lot more the very beginning is great but than the camping mystery is interesting I am interested what is going on and what will happen it is still good why this episode worked but was not great number one the ghost stuff was well done in this episode it will not be well done in other episodes when the ghost are in it of course so Alex wants to comfort of course his dad does not want him to so he litterly trolls everyone thinking he was going to say he killed Bryce but does not happen like i said this is an interesting episode I did like everything happened Alex would just confess than Diego would not be messing with every single person so all round interesting episode that has a mystery in a forest is interesting.
