- Wendy Miller: Great! I don't have any brothers or sisters because Dad's lazy, and now he's scared her off, too!
- Karen Miller: [about Allison] She's really taking it hard.
- Jonathan Miller: Well, what do you expect? Her whole life's been turned upside down overnight.
- Wendy Miller: How long do I have to give up my room?
- Karen Miller: Well, just until your father finishes remodeling the den.
- Wendy Miller: I'll be in college.
- [Sutter has blocked Melissa's car in a parking lot]
- Melissa: Hey! You're blocking my car.
- [Sutter knocks her out and kidnaps her]
- [Martin sees Victim #1 strung up in Sutter's basement]
- Graham Sutter: Don't be afraid. It doesn't have any feelings.
- [Sutter slices Martin's cheek]
- Graham Sutter: It doesn't hurt. See?
- Graham Sutter: If they have no feelings, they can't know fear. But if they can't know fear... then why do they run?
- Allison Miller: It's funny how everything can change in an instant. A stranger can come along and in the blink of an eye destroy everything.
- [Sutter approaches Martin as he is playing on his swingset]
- Graham Sutter: Hi there. I bought this new bike for my nephew's birthday, but he doesn't like the color. Can you believe that? I was gonna just throw it out when I saw you and I thought, "There's a kid who'd probably love a new bike." Am I right?
- [Martin nods]
- Graham Sutter: It's right in my truck. Wanna take a look?
- [after Jonathan first brings Allison home]
- Karen Miller: You didn't say how pretty she is.
- Jonathan Miller: My side of the family.
- [about the slaughterhouse]
- Jonathan Miller: Graham's a pack rat. That place should be condemned.
- Allison Miller: Somebody lives there?
- Jonathan Miller: Yeah, he keeps mostly to himself.
- Allison Miller: You know him?
- Jonathan Miller: We're about the same age. He never went to school. His dad made him work that place day and night. It was a meat-packing plant till they couldn't afford to upgrade their equipment to code. I'll tell you one thing: I don't miss the smell.
- [as they drive by the slaughterhouse]
- Allison Miller: What is that place?
- Jonathan Miller: That's the Sutter plant. It's been closed for years.
- Allison Miller: I saw someone there yesterday when I was jogging. A boy.
- Jonathan Miller: A boy?
- Graham Sutter: [to Martin] I envy your serenity. The path to redemption is through forgiveness - absolution. You're my witness.
- [Jonathan interrupts Allison and William as they kiss]
- Jonathan Miller: Out of the car, Allison.
- Allison Miller: What? I'm not going anywhere.
- William: Yeah, back off, man.
- Jonathan Miller: You shut your mouth!
- [after Wendy complains to Allison that the Miller's never go anywhere]
- Wendy Miller: Dad, can we go to France?
- Jonathan Miller: Sure. I'll just cash in some stock options.
- Wendy Miller: [to Allison] See what I mean?
- Jonathan Miller: How about Pittsburgh? Huh?
