Larry Moss : [Over the phone] Senator Mayer is dead
Renee Walker : [while in a holding room] where's Jack?
Larry Moss : I don't know: we don't have him
Renee Walker : Ok, you think he did this? First Burnett, now Mayer?
Larry Moss : Looks that way
Renee Walker : What'd you mean "looks that way?"
Larry Moss : That's why I'm calling, Senator Mayer was killed with a UMP40 submachine gun. Bauer's on the run, where did he get a hold of a weapon like that? Also, there's evidence to suggest there was a "third party" in the house
Renee Walker : What kind of "evidence?"
Larry Moss : Well, unexplained slugs, broken set of French doors, and a chair where it doesn't belong
Renee Walker : Ok, so your saying this "third party" killed Mayer?
Larry Moss : Well, you know I wouldn't be saying if I knew what the hell Bauer was doing here in the first place. Look, I want to meet you "half way", I do but if you even expect me to "entertain" Bauer's innocence, you have got to help me here
Renee Walker : I can't. If Jack is "underground", he is "underground" for a reason
Larry Moss : There were files open on Mayer's computer: documents relating to his investigation on Starkwood, so just tell me that. Did Starkwood ever come up in your conversation with Bauer?
Larry Moss : [after she doesn't respond implying the answer is yes] look maybe I should've trusted you before? But you have got to trust me now
Renee Walker : The man who framed Jack for Burnett's murder was John Quinn: a Starkwood contractor. Jack believes they were behind Juma and all of the terrorist attacks today. He went to Mayer to get the evidence to prove it. I have to "assume" Quinn followed him there, that's all that I know, I swear
Renee Walker : Ok, I believe you, just sit tight. I'll be in touch soon
Renee Walker : Let me help, Jack could still be out there, maybe in trouble?
Larry Moss : [Before she hangs up] no, I can't release you, not yet
