Chantel's family is beyond outta control, I thank God tht I'm not apart nor have I ever had to deal with a family like hers... No Pedro or his family correct but I would never wanna deal with Chantels family they don't realize their boundaries... but at the same time I would of popped Pedro's mother and sister

I thought it was horrible how Pedro was treated. Chantel and her mother turn around and do it to her sister and now to Royal. They need to keep their busybody nose out of others relationships. However Pedro's family is no better. They really think they are someone special. No better than Chantel and her mother. Busybodies also. Now Nicole is getting a taste of it, from her mother no less. Losing interest. They all deserve each other. Do feel sorry for Pedro.

This is TLC bottom-of-the-barrel entertainment and given their programming, that's quite a distinction. TLC has a way of plucking morons out of obscurity, most of whom should have stayed there. Chantel and Pedro are on top of that long list. Regrettably, there's no learning going on at The Learning Channel.

Complete waste of time and brain cells! Chantel and her family if actually for real are the dumbest and meanest individuals ever! Her mom borders on crazy and not in an entertaining and fun way, just CRAZY! Why anyone would want to exploit their marriage in this way is beyond comprehension. I can only assume it is not reality, but rather made up, cheesy arguments that rehash the same old subject over and over and over again with the same outcome, Chantel walking away, Pedro with a dumb look on his face and mom Chantel looking like she escaped from the set of a Psycho remake!

The Family Chantel (and I do specifically mean all of Chantel's family members) are out of their minds. Disfunction would be the understatement of the century.
The bizarre things they come up with and say on this show are totally dumbfounding. This is some of the absolute worst treatment of a son in law and family thereof, foreign guests in America, that I have ever witnessed. Their condescending, snobbish, nasty, deplorable behavior is reprehensible. They should all be ashamed of themselves. As an American, I am totally ashamed and embarrassed by their words and actions. I seriously hope someday Pedro wakes up and decides to get the hell away from these lunatics.

...im starting to think this is so staged, poorly staged. If it is NOT staged, then Chantel's whole family is crazy. Like bats#it psycho. They love drama, and Chantel is no different. Why tell your family all the stuff that goes on in your marriage if the family already don't like him? she's the cause of all this drama...DRAINING!

There are a lot of bad reviews, but I liked it. It was something easy to watch while I cleaned or folded laundry. Nothing to have to pay close attention to in order to follow along. Fun entertainment and the family is so ridiculous that it's fun! Season 2 was better. Pedro is probably my favorite on the show. It's not anything that is thought provoking or cutting edge, but good to have in the background while you do things. Watching more episodes Chantel is actually growing on me. If you need background noise or something you can stop and start and come back to later, give it a shot!

I can remember when TLC programming was entertaining and enlightening. Now it caters to couch bimbos who enjoy poorly scripted programs that are heavily edited. ie 90 Day Fiance (all versions ) The Family Chantel, Big Fat Gypsie Wedding , and I Love a Mamas Boy. The list goes on. Not one of these programs is broadcast worthy.

Lidia and Nicole are the worst. They see that Pedro love Chantel and they will do ANYTHING to hurt his relationship. It's not Pedro's fault that he grew up without a father. It took a lot for him to say he is jealous of Thomas and River relationship. Lidia and Nicole are gonna suck him up dry, they only care about themselves. Nicole is the worst sister I've ever seen. To continue to try and match your brother with another woman when you know he is married and happy is SELFISH. He has his own life to live and yall keep using him. I can not blame Thomas and Karen for wanting to protect their daughter. My daughter made one phone call to her dad and my husband was out of the house within 30 seconds. Lidia and Nicole are wrong, period. He said he loves his wife but they continue to try and turn him against Chantel. If you would sit on TV and tell your married brother to cheat on his wife shows a lot about your character. I've been with my now husband since I was 15 and we have been together for 27 years and I respect what Thomas and Karen are doing. Nicole lied when she said she did not say something about Chantel when she came to GA (and Chantel had purchased a new couch). Nicole and Lidia are very ungrateful. Pedro is not Lidia's husband and he is not Nicole's boyfriend. I see why they will never have a real man in their lives. Lidia, Pedro is not the man that you needed all these years; let him live his life

Sooo, i just watched 2 episodes to make sure that this is really low standard even for a reality show, not that TLC has any high standards.... but the characters are so boring, their "life" story is so uninteresting that starring at the wall is way more exciting.

Contrived, which is fine if the show is entertaining (this is not). Everyone is trying way too hard but they're still boring and irritating. Here's a better idea TLC: Lock Jesse and Darcey in a room and promise them a million dollars if they can stand each other for one month (call it 30 Day Ex-Fiance lol). As a 90 Day Fiance fan, this show was so disappointing that I couldn't make it past episode 3.

This show pretends to be all about the constant fighting and hostility between two families. It's supposed to be reality-TV, but it's all scripted.
These are not actors and it shows. It's so bad and fake that I cannot believe there are people (and reviewers) who think the situation these families are in, is real. Please cancel this nonsense.

This show is crazy! If anyone thinks Chantel is ok she is not! She needs help! Her accusations are wild, blaming someone cause you are crazy is insane to me! Just get the show of the air so Pedro can live his best life and so no one can hear her talk again! Her voice is so annoying, not to mention her mom who is more aggravating than an air horn! Move on and get over yourself!!!! She is the reason it didn't work and we have to watch a whole series for her bs!!! Yuck! Live your best life Pedro without her, you deserve so much better!!! She is the reason this show ends! Find someone who cares or like she said someone famous! Again yuck, she is a sad excuse for a wife! Why is Pedros sister and mother on the show? They are terrible human beings and NOT part of "The family Chantel". This is the improper English phrase used by Pedro when referring to his wife's family. Please stop filming Lidia and Nicole and their bad behavior. I cannot fast forward through their clips any faster. Their mouth full of food Spanish language and ugly expressions is making me lose interest in the show. I love Chantel and everyone in her family. Pedro is a lucky man that she has stuck by him this long. The show would be better without the in-laws.

Yes chantel family is crazy and so is Pedro's family, but when I was watching 90 day fiancé I was fast forwarding just to see what this family will do next! I'm glad there is just a show about them now. I honestly think Pedro is a good guy and him and Chantel would work out if they separated from their families like the pastor said in counseling and cling to each other. They need to put each other first and they will work out just fine.
