- Mama: [voiceover; first lines] When the TV is on all day without rest, Mama knows it's too much, and Mama knows best.
- Mama: [voiceover; first lines] Both grown-ups and cubs learn a lesson about how families work best when they work problems out.
- Teacher Jane: Our last play for tonight features Brother and Sister Bear, Cousin Fred, and Lizzy Bruin. It's called "The Trouble with Parents".
- Mama: [seeing Brother and Sister wrestle with the TV remote] All right, that's it.
- Brother, Sister Bear: [as the remote slips from their hands into Mama's] Ahh!
- Mama: No more TV for a week!
- [switches the TV off]
- Brother, Sister Bear: But Mama!
- Lizzy Bruin: You know, most of the time...
- Cousin Fred: Our parents are pretty great.
- Sister Bear: But sometimes it's pretty tough being a cub when parents seem to blow their tops without a good reason.
- Brother: The good thing is, sooner or later, parents *grow out* of it and become grandparents.
- Lizzy Bruin, Cousin Fred, Sister Bear, Brother: And grandparents never blow their tops at their grandcubs.
