Coughing great drama.

This was a tremendous, moving, engaging final part to this wonderful series. It's a great story, wonderfully acted, the only thing that stopped it from being flawless was the lack of bias.

I'll start with my gripe, the episode gives a totally one sided take on the story, you would watch this and be convinced of Ingram's innocence, they could have shown more from the prosecution. When you watch the actual footage it perhaps gives you a more questionable view.

On the plus side, it's a terrific watch, it's beautifully acted, it's a great story, and for many of us it's very relevant, like many people I was an avid fan. Best of all for me was the performance of Helen McCrory as the Defence lawyer, she was superb.

A big thumbs up, 9/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Quiz is based on a stage play. At the end the audience would vote whether Major Ingram was guilty or innocent. Some nights, he would get off.

The final part showed the view from the defence. It meant a diminished part for Chris Tarrant although he did feature in a fantasy song and dance number.

Ingram admits he put a bit of an act in the quiz show for dramatic purposes, get the audience and viewers on side.

Some of the abuse and the coughing Ingrams had to put up with was true, including the family cat attack being attacked. The cat was substituted for a dog in the production because Matthew Macfadyen is allergic to cats!

Maybe this episode is too sympathetic to the Ingrams and the case for the defence. What was not mentioned that after the trial, Charles Ingram was later found guilty of insurance fraud.

Warning: Spoilers
Far too overhyped by ITV, this episode clearly has a biased view of what it wants you to think.

Calm down ITV promo department, you've overcooked this.
