The Dropout (2022)

Series

1st Season

Episode One - I'm in a Hurry

I really don't know what to expect from this series, I don't know if I liked it or not, I liked this first episode, I gave it a rating of 6 so that if it gets better, the average for the series will be good and if it gets worse I can lower my average.

Amanda is very good, she can still pass as an 18-19 year old girl calmly.

Naveen is also as good as ever, but there's still no way of knowing what his problem is.

I hope it gets better and becomes more interesting because so far it's been pretty uninteresting, at least for me.

Previous Series: The Night Of (2016)

Episode One of the first season of the Miniseries The Dropout watched on May 25, 2024.

Rating: 6/10.

The bleak "ghost"

Warning: Spoilers
Pilot: Semi interesting episode with good acting, interesting scientific o medical info and "breakthrough" and well constructed development for a pilot as well as regarding to the whole story, complemented with flashbacks and present time happening and hearing.

It is not clear yet at all and for my part, I don't see yet what was the problem that led to that aghast face in the present time hearing with bare minimum make-up and a ghostly face.

A banger for a pilot - Great story, music, and makes you Hurry

I want you to start watching this TV series casually and read a little bit about the company before you start watching the TV series. Then you start with this first episode, and by the end of it, you are already hard pressed to watch the next episode. There is a compelling story that is built over here, and the role character of Elizabeth Holmes is played very well - the maverick side of it, the millennial who grew up looking at Jobs posters. The best part is, that the story is fast paced and it will take you through her growing up phase, although I do not really understand the cut to her school years where they say "she runs weirdly". There is a great narrative to be told right from the get go, and the episode introduces us to the two main characters using the court hearings - oh what a great trope to open a TV series. I will also praise the music score that blends so well with the story that you just want that music to be there. This first episode is a well packaged product - and if you are in a hurry, It will just add to your speed.
