Indie production and management company Generate has inked an exclusive multiyear development and production deal with 20th Century Fox TV.
Under the pact, which will be announced Wednesday at Natpe, Generate will develop scripted broadcast and cable series exclusively for 20th TV. The studio also will get a first look at Generate's alternative/reality concepts.
Spearheading Generate's TV operations are principals and former TV execs Jordan Levin, the company's CEO, and president Pete Aronson.
Levin headed the WB, which counted 20th as one of its major suppliers until the two sides' falling out over "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Aronson used to run Regency TV, which with 20th TV co-produced Fox's "The Bernie Mac Show."
"It is rare to find producers like Jordan and Pete who are experienced and hungry, understand the challenges of the business and have great commercial taste," 20th TV exec vp creative affairs Jennifer Nicholson-Salke said.
