Apparenly, "Making It Legal" was a pilot episode for a proposed series that was never accepted by the networks. And, if you want to see it, it's currently on YouTube.
The basic idea for the show is a sound one...about young lawyers in a law firm trying to make it. But the execution left a TON to be desired. Subtlety certainly was NOT a concern for the writers. And, to make it worse, every time the folks talked, the invasive laugh track kicked in and annoyed. This was particularly bad when the folks said completely unfunny things...and the canned laughter made it sound like I was watching the funniest show ever. When a show is great, a laugh track is unnoticed most of the time. When it's terrible...well, it only makes it more obvious that it's terrible.
Overall, too many crude and unfunny jokes and not enough real humor. It is a shame as despite all the unknowns in the show, Robert Wagner was cast as well...and it would have been nice seeing him each week.
