- Sue Richards: Monster Isle... I always thought it was just a legend.
- Reed Richards: So did I...
- The Thing: Maybe H.E.R.B.I.E.'s puttin' us on. I always thought you had a sense of humor.
- H.E.R.B.I.E.: No Ben, I am not kidding this time.
- The Mole Man: They laughed me out of the Society of Scientists. I was unable to find any work, anywhere. But I remained true to my belief. I would find Monster Isle and take revenge on the world which had mocked me!
- Reed Richards: Someone has to solve the mystery and learn the secret of the Mole Man, before it's too late. Before the world is robbed of all it's power.
- Reporter: Will you help us, Reed Richards?
- Reed Richards: Yes. The Fantastic Four will face the deadly challenge of the Mole Man.
- Reporter: With the fate of the world at stake.
- The Thing: Monster Isle...
- [scoffs]
- The Thing: what a name...
- H.E.R.B.I.E.: Well, to a monster, 'Benjamin' might make a funny name.
- The Thing: You know, I think I like you better without a sense of humor.
- The Thing: Aw, you make everything sound dangerous, Stretcho. You're always trying to drum up some kinda nutty adventures for us. If you ask me, this whole thing sounds like a kiddies fairy tale.
- H.E.R.B.I.E.: That does not surprise me, Benjamin, since fairy tales are your favorite reading matter.
- The Thing: Oh yeah? Well, what's wrong with fairy tales, Tinhead? You're just jealous that there ain't no robots in 'em.
- H.E.R.B.I.E.: Robots don't get jealous. Not like certain people I know.
- Reed Richards: [after Sue crosses a devide using Reed's elastic body as a bridge] Those fumes, they almost choked me.
- Sue Richards: And yet you were steady as a rock, so that I wouldn't fall.
- Reed Richards: Well, let's face it, darling. You'd be a tough act to replace.
- H.E.R.B.I.E.: My sensors warn me that we have a bigger problem.
- Reed Richards: H.E.R.B.I.E.'s right, look at the walls.
- Sue Richards: They're... they're closing in on us.
- The Thing: Well, that's a heck of a way to treat a guest!
