" life is a multifaceted concept...'
barak-kemeny21 October 2006
"Le mis popote" is a cinematic masterpiece. Bramsen's innovative techniques; including layering, written statements, alinear narration and true life stories are the tools used to portray the world.

The physchological and social analysis of self and our surroundings is illustrated within the work: " life is a multifaceted concept...". Humiliation, loneliness, love and violence are themes evoked by the work. An Aristelian approach can be detected upon viewing the work. Strong emotions are evoked. Ideas and thoughts repressed by the unconscious are accompanied by affective emotional response and relief.

I love his choices in the use of images, sound, editing and atypical voice over. The narration is not meant to guide the viewer along but rather to support the work with engaging scenarios and concepts. Having said that, the robotic female voice of the narration is packed with pain and sincerity. The juxtaposition of voice over and images strikes an emotional chord within me.

This work has inspired me to pursue video art as a profession.
