Let's start with the weak spot in this episode: David Carradine as a struggling policeman. Carradine was always an actor with an odd persona - he fit in when he played enigmatic or even cruel characters (see "Kill Bill!"). I didn't buy him as a policeman for one second.
Ok, that's out of the way. A fun episode because Ironside is rough and tough in this one (not a lot of the low voice, sensitive Ironside) as he threatens people! Character actors abound: Richard Anderson, who was in Perry Mason, Charlie's Angels, and about every other TV show in American history; Robert Ito, from Quincy; James McCeachin, from the Perry Mason movies; Jackie Coogan, Uncle Fester! And Michael Conrad, from Hill Street Blues.
