- The episode and series both end with the infamous asteroid crashing into Earth with the force of millions of nuclear bombs. A brutal series of winds sweeps the baby Tyrannosaurs away to their deaths as though they were tissue paper, the corpse of their mother is torn of the ground, and trees fall over. It ends with a burning tektite rain from the darkening sky onto the ruined ecosystem. And, of course, all the dinosaurs die.
