- This is the only episode where Shaggy doesn't announce the guest star(s) on the title card. However, the restored version of the episode on The Best of The New Scooby-Doo Movies and digital HD releases appends the announcement from The Ghost of the Red Baron (1972) over the title card. The title card on this first episode also originally appeared after the climax of the opening scene (following the fade to black after The Mystery Machine hits a sand dune), but HD releases have relocated it to appear after the opening titles to bring in line with subsequent episodes. The original location can still be seen on early VHS copies.
- Early Worldvision Home Video releases mis-placed the scene where Shaggy and Scooby try and come up with a plan to rescue Velma and The Three Stooges (culminating in them planning to use Tyrone the mechanical T-Rex for the job). It was moved from being placed prior to Shaggy and Scooby accessing Tyrone to follow on from the Funhouse scene (which should have led us into re-joining Fred and Daphne in the desert). It's misplacement causes a number of continuity errors, such as Shaggy making a 'dummy' joke to the Crunch and Rhino dummies (which they had not yet discovered), and the fact that only Velma was missing at this point and not The Three Stooges as well. Subsequently, the error also means it takes a long time for Shaggy and Scooby to execute this plan, and when they do it happens at random with no lead up into it..
