In a Latin American nation, President Cordova wins re-election over evil General Valdes, but there's an assassination attempt when he announces his victory. His wife suspects the general of foul play. She insists her husband must get a trusted bodyguard, and she contacts WIN, with Joe sent as the guard, using the brain pattern of a top WIN agent to give Joe the needed expertise for the job.
He's able to accompany Cordova without letting on that he's got a bodyguard (even the president is kept out of the loop by his worried wife).
There's an exciting chase scene, after Joe unmasks Cordova's chauffeur as a traitor. When they arrive at a mountain resort, Joe protects the president from a drink that's been poisoned. Then our young hero saves Cordova's life a third time from that same assassin who posed as the waiter. With Cordova relaxing with a fishing pole, Valdes assigns two frogmen to finish him off, providing some underwater puppetry with Joe, as usual, outsmarting the baddies.
