One of the funniest MST3K episodes!
Duzniak385 April 2006
This is probably one of the funniest MST3K episodes I have seen. Mike and the 'bots are witty as ever, as they mock and shame Rick Sloane's "Hobgoblins." The movie was just waiting to be MST3Ked, and the guys do such a good job at making the audience laugh. There are so many wonderful quotes to remember (and so many dreadful Hobgoblin scenes to forget) that you'll have a lot of fun watching this. The other scenes with the guys are very funny, including the guys accidentally turning each other on, Crow setting up a help phone line for people who are in distress after seeing the movie Hobgoblins (which in turn is rang by Bobo, who is having relationship problems) and Pearl scolding the guys for jumping on her new furniture. A definite ten out of ten episode!

The best episode of MST3K ever
goreilly406 February 2008
Well where do I begin on what was my opinion the best episode of MST3K? Mike and the guys were just so funny and this is where Mike finally came into his own after the departure of Joel. Servo and Crow were just awesome and just cracked me up no end, and had me on the floor laughing.

The jokes and gags were of this episode were described as brutal but in my opinion it served the movie right in fact Mike and the Bot's went a little too easy on what can only be described as a movie plane crash.

This was vintage MST3K at it's peak.

The worst movie that was ever made got what it deserved in this episode, proof that justice does exist.

Talk about a movie that was tailor made to be MST3K'd, this was it.

Bad Wishing

This is my tenth favorite episode for the show for me as it has delivered a lot of laughs. The film is basically an absurd combination of both "Gremlins" and "Wishmaster" where this little creatures project to each of the victims their deepest desires which turn against them. The idea I don't think was bad, turning the wish granting motif upside down but the films execution of the concept was just poor.

I really like how the crew of the MST a few of them actually ran away from the film being awful and in the break sequences even try to cop out by putting cardboard cutouts of themselves and play a tape recorder of their voices. That song they sing about the film just cracks me up.

However the highlight of the episode for me was in the fight scene which is one of the worst one on one fights I've ever seen, as it is so poorly choreographed and one sided. It's just funny how many comments the MST crew made and how they pointed out the Casio music that played every time one of the character struck each other with the sticks.

The next wish you'll make is that you've seen a better movie.
