This is an age old story, but this particular episode really showed just how much the cause was hated. It took a long time for men, and some women, to come around to the "equal rights" thing.
In this episode, even our hero, Hoby Gilman, is against women voting. Tenner pretty much declares that women are just pushy and want what they can't have. This is a true color of what it was really like. No matter how much we respect our heroes like Hoby Gilman, they can be narrow minded in bigoted as well...
This story has been done in a lot of westerns. The Rifleman did this as well, and like Hoby, Lucas McCain was against the movement.
