Episode 16 begins with Corinne meeting Ingrid Svenson,her natural mother,for the first time,23 years after her birth,and rejecting Jessica and Chester for the time being.Meanwhile,Ingrid has hired a private detective from Germany,Heinrich Himmel(William Daniels),who browbeats phony confessions out of everyone,until an outraged Benson sacrifices dessert by putting Himmel's rear end on it.Billy accuses Himmel of spitting his German accent,and the Major refuses to talk to the enemy(this was the only entry with William Daniels).Burt's investigation into his son's death takes another odd turn,as he begins stealing people's hair and fingerprints.Finally,Chief of Police Tinkler now arrests Jessica for the murder of Peter Campbell: the gun that shot Peter was in her drawer,the knife that stabbed him was in her jewelry box,and the brick that struck him was in her rose garden.

Maybe not quite as sharp, but still funny.

Corrine is stunned when she meets Ingrid Svenson, who makes herself known to her. Ingrid has employed German Private Detective Heinrich Himmel to find Peter's real killer, and to ensure Corrine is set free.
Why does this look and feel so different? To start with, there are those new interesting opening credits, they're going to take some getting used to, the camera work looks a little fuzzier, some of the cast look like they've had a makeover.
I enjoyed it, I perhaps didn't think it was quite as sharp or funny as previous episodes, it's still good, but just not as sharp, there are still some funny lines, and Heinrich Himmel is a hoot.
Favourite scene had to be Benson clashing with Himmel, that was the moment we were all waiting for.
The hunt for Peter's killer continues.

They finally cut Benson's hair

Was it really that hard to find someone to cut Benson's hair? I am not sure if the creators did not expect his character to be such a huge success or they just did not care enough to invest in his character's appearance. This is the first episode where his hair is neat and trim.
As a black man, he would not have kept his hair like it was in the other episodes. As rich as the Tate family was on this show, they would not want their butler to have his hair long.
It often seems that black actors and actresses have the hardest times with getting access to hair and makeup people on set.
