This is the second time Kramer (Michael Richards) has been attacked by a group in an alley trying to go up a ladder. The first time was in the previous season The Sponge (1995) episode when he was attacked by a group of AIDS walkers cause he refused to wear an AIDS ribbon while walking for the cause.

Frost and Zabriskie were both part of the cast of the 1992 drama/thriller (based on the cult series Twin Peaks (1990)), which also starred Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise, Dana Ashbrook, and David Bowie.
