- Tod is reunited with Rosemarie Brown, who he considers his first serious crush, at the funeral of her older husband, Dave Mann. When Tod first met them in his second year at Yale, they were performing on stage in the chorus of a regional production. While Dave ended up achieving professional success by getting out of the chorus, he was a self-destructive person who turned to the bottle to keep himself happy. As such, Rosemarie gave up her dancing career seven years ago to watch over Dave so that he wouldn't kill himself. Tod believes Rosemarie needs to resurrect her dancing career to regain a sense of herself. As Tod and Buz are currently working as stagehands at CBS, they are at least able to get Rosemarie's name on a casting list for a show filming in two weeks time. All three will find that memories last long in Hollywood, some of those memories which help Rosemarie, while others work against her. But what may be Rosemarie's biggest obstacle is herself, she who may not have the energy to go on, having spent it all on Dave for the past eight years, she feeling like she failed in her responsibilities based on the end result.—Huggo
