When a Prussian count and a Russian officer travel to England to take part in a fox hunt at the Fitzwilliams' country estate, William Drew decides to investigate. There, Drew's informant, Miss Bains, tells him that there is a secret treaty between Germany and Russia. Another guest, Beatrice reluctantly gives Drew a letter to her British diplomat fiance in Russia that Drew promises to send to St.Petersburg in the diplomatic bag. But Drew first reads that letter and realizes that the count and the Russian are pressuring her to give them a copy of the treaty. Beatrice gets murdered. Drew, Bains and Beatrice's fiance team up to track down her killers in Paris, France, and avenge her death.
