Spontaneous Stupidity
Hitchcoc9 May 2022
I have no hesitation to blame religion for many of the ills of society. The portrayal of the young woman's brainwashing because she trusted in dogma and had given up her free will just makes me sick. She has every right to do this but then she can also choose to be alone for the rest of her life. I agree with the guy who said she and her husband should leave the church alone. The archaic views of hellfire and brimstone are perfect for those who embrace them. We only get one time around so if we waste it because someone has sold you a bill of goods then embrace that warm environment. The other two cases involve Maxine and he psychologist where she is truly a mess and the bad guy. Finally, Wambaugh's defense of the mayor would never even be considered by an appellate court. And the mayor's ending---come on.

Absolutely Hateful

Warning: Spoilers
Saying a child should never have been born is wrong & no one but God can decide that, regardless of what may be wrong with the child. We don't go around murdering people with disabilities, it's wrong, and it's wrong to murder them in the womb for being disabled as well.

Blaming the Church for your decisions & your inability to control your sexual urges is on you, not God, not the Church. Follow the rules, or don't, free will, but you don't attack the Church or strangle a priest because you chose to follow his advisement.

This show was intent on destroying decent society 30 years ago, breaking down Judeo Christian values with nonsense about tolerance (we should never tolerate sin), guilt trips & far fetched, worst case, outlandish possibilities & dismissals of probable possibilities.
