- TriviaIn the scene where Brian Potter is outside the Ponderosa in Blackpool, after he moves there is a bunch of flowers attached to the lamppost which have a note 'In memory of Alam, Died 8th December 89'. This is a reference to Coronation Street's (1960) Alan Bradley, who was killed by a tram on the show. However, these flowers are South of the Blackpool Tower (near South Pier), despite the fact Alan Bradley was killed North of the Tower (near a location known as Gynn Square).

Amen t'that!
After the Pheonix burns down and the staff move on, Brian makes a proposal.
This is a strong start to the second series with lots of great humour.
The funniest aspect of this episode is the various situations the Pheonix crew are in since the demise of the club. It is worth watching the episode just to see Brian's reaction to Jerry's new job. Other memorable scenes include Brian in court, Max and Paddy singing, and Brian's trip to La Ponderosa.
Everything builds towards the moment when Brian makes his equally hilarious and inspiring proposal to the old gang that sets up the rest of the series.
All performers are on hilarious form, especially Peter Kay, David Bramwell, Jim Bowen, and Archie Kelly.
