Comedy Gold

Warning: Spoilers
Though there has yet to be a single bad episode of the series, if you are this far in, and it's certainly one of the best comedy shows that have been made, when season two hit there were just some episodes in it that are pure comedy gold, and this was one of them.

The writing, the plotting, the lines, the delivery, the interactions between characters, just all come together to make this the oddball series that it was, in full comedic glory.

Jimmy's "weird" nephew, perfectly cast and not overdone; Bill's inability to tolerate anybody better than him, Beth's buyable and humorous rise and fall for the nephew, and of course the non speaking table in Dave's office that seems to succumb to the bellowing tones of Bill's voice in a delightfully funny way.

"I was trying to drive you crazy" "WELL IT DIDN'T WORK"!

Warning: Spoilers
Once again, a great episode of this series, in this episode we have two major storylines: 1) Jimmy's quirky magician nephew comes to the station, and with magic tricks charms Beth, who very rapidly grows tired of him, but as he said "we made out" so he doesn't take this very well, this plot was very well done mainly because it didn't overshadowed the main plot and it didn't grew tiresome (what could've happen with David Cross's characther traits (the actor did an excelent job) 2) Kathryn calls in sick so Dave must find a replacement for the day, and while for him it's an obvious decision to put Lisa there, Lisa (while agreeing with the decision) suggests to Dave to consult everyone in the office to make them feel more like a team, this suggestion makes Matthew anxious to get in the booth, while it makes Bill feel like he can chose a bad person for the job so it can elevate him more, and this is where the best of the episode comes in, he calls for Joe to get in the booth , but for everyone's surprise (specially Bill's) he is great, not unbelieavable great (which , oddly, makes it belieavable) and he really creates a stir in the Station, and what makes this so cool was that Joe didn't give a damn, as soon as Bill said "it didn't work out" he was like "fine!" , that is mainly the charm about Joe's character , he seems to know and do everything but it doesn't matter to him, he´s happy as an electrician, that's pretty peculiar (although it was a little exagerated the way he knew every difficult question of Bill), still a very funny episode, and the table also having a very funny presence . 8/10 ******** Peter Shelby
