When jumping into the dumpster the stunt woman badly injured an ankle. Jumping just a touch too far, one of her feet hit the steel side of the dumpster, knocking off her shoe with such force that it flew ten feet up in the air and backwards, bouncing off the building, and landing in the parking lot.

During the start of the taped game, the announcers note that the game is being played in Pasadena, CA. This was the November 25, 1983 Army-Navy Game, held at the Rose Bowl that year. It was only the 2nd time in the game's history that it was played west of the Mississippi River. The city of Pasadena requested the game due to the size of the Rose Bowl, the number of active & retired military personnel in the area and the prestige of the game. Pasadena paid for he travel expenses of all the students and supporters of both academies to attend the - 9,437 in all. Navy did win that game by the score of 42-13.
Higgins mispronounces the word "jalapeno" (ha-la-pay-nyo), saying "ha-la-pan-no". John Hillerman is a Texan and knows the correct pronunciation, having eaten them all his life. While he was trying to pronounce it as a Briton might, he got it wrong. The British pronounce it as "ha-la-pee-no".
