After so many weird, far-out or even supernatural episodes, it's a bit disappointing to see MacGyver in a mere fight against an arsonist: code name, Prometheus.
This time he's not only up against a nut-case enviro-looney but a bitter and gung-ho firefighting female who despises amateurs. Unfortunately, MacGyver knows how to do anything but he's officially an amateur at everything. And like TV private eyes Mannix and Rockford before him, MacGyver loses a pal. Their never-seen-before pals are like strange crewmembers who beam down from the starship Enterprise.
Lots of bomb disarming, if you like that sort of thing. It's interesting but not overwhelming, to see "Hee Haw" sexpot Misty Rowe in a serious role.
