- TriviaThis is one of the more unusual episodes of the second season in that it is less comedic than usual and features aliens that are a credible threat.
- GoofsA standard-size bowling ball of solid gold would weigh about 225 lb. It's unlikely that young Will would be able to pick up/carry such weight easily as shown.

Wreck of the Robot- a Season Two Gem!
Wreck of the Robot is a perfect balance of Season One horror/ Si-Fi and Season Two comedy. It works perfectly. It is amazing that this came right after some true duds.
The plot is great, my music is great, the comedy is great, the balance between the cast is also great. And there are many stand-out scenes.
The top of the list is Prof. Robinson talking to Will about possibility that the Robot may never be the same. Major West and Judy get to have some good natured fun with Dr. Smith.
Dr. Smith is perfectly balanced throughout. An the aliens are excellent.
The Robot is the star and acts somewhere between a "Man and Machine" throughout and then brings that to closure with that statement at the end.
This was a really well thought out episode and holds up very well to the standard of the best of Season One.
