Classic Series from the seventies into another dimension!!
elo-equipamentos30 April 2024
It was a classic series of the seventies, on tight budge using mainly second rate actors and actress although sometimes guesting veteran players to enrich the offering, this pilot is pretty weirdo starting into an endless adventures on time travel around Atlantis and nearby spots.

A time warp at Bermuda area letting all them to another dimension, where all them ought gather together aiming for survive themselves, the power trio Jared Martin, Carl Franklin and the youngest star Ike Eisenmann running the show as the producers implied it for teenager audience.

Thanks for reading.

A chaotic beginning
connordad3 February 2024
This pilot episode spends a good deal of time familiarizing us with six characters that it appears to be setting up as the show's regular cast - but by the end of this 90-minute first episode, three of those six would be gone.

However, they were NOT a father, mother and sister as another review here stated. One was the father of a character who remained in the cast - but the other two were graduate students, not relatives.

Those three would be replaced over the next two episodes by a pair of more interesting and colorful characters - a woman from the future and a man from the recent past - in an effort to have a more diverse group of personalities in the cast.,

And So The Journey Begins

Warning: Spoilers
The beginning of '77 and into the summer, one of the most intriguing shows never to be forgotten started and aired every Tuesday night on NBC (or was it Thursday?) It didn't matter. For this 11-yr-old, Fantastic Journey was not to be missed.

While I didn't recall so much about the beginning, I knew it involved a small family and some others who were lost in the fog of the Bermuda Triangle.

They would see a native looking figure with long hair and loin cloth, until it was discovered he actually wasn't a native at all, he was Varian, an alien from the future.

Gradually, the occupants of the boat would be picked off one by one (actually two guys try to sail off the island and are swept back on land, quite lifeless).

The encounter Ian McShane as some pirate or something, then Gary Collins and Mary Ann Mobley as aliens serving a brain in a futuristic setting.

This pilot is most known for those who recall this show as it sent the mother, father and sister in the little family all back where they came from, keeping child fave Ike Eisenmann and Carl Franklin (a very effective racial token) as the main characters of the cast.

The pilot could air as a late movie at times later on, but the other episodes of this show, which I understand have aired on Scifi and other networks, remained unseen by me until I discovered them on youtube.
