Quotes

  • Carl Winslow : [dancing with Laura, singing]  Come on and ease on down, ease on down the road, come on and ease on down, ease on down the road. Don't you carry nothing that might be a load, come on, ease on down, ease on down the road.

    [speaks]

Carl Winslow : Hey Laura, you want to watch "The Wiz" with me?

Laura Winslow : Oh I can't, I'm going out with Stefan.

Carl Winslow : Well, Laura, I haven't gotten to spend much time with you lately.

Laura Winslow : I have plans all week. What about Sunday?

Carl Winslow : Okay, we'll make some old fashioned ice cream like I used to when you were little.

Laura Winslow : Yeah, just don't eat it all like you used to when I was little.

  • Harriette Winslow : Carl, *I'll* watch "The Wiz" with you.

Carl Winslow : Thank you, sweetheart. Would you like some...

Steve Urkel : [exits the kitchen with a large bowl]  Popcorn! I made popcorn!

  • Carl Winslow : Laura loves The Wiz, man, she was five when it came out.

    [proudly]

Carl Winslow : She loved the song so much she got up and danced in the aisles.

Harriette Winslow : And what did you do?

Carl Winslow : Pretended she was someone else's kid.

  • Laura Winslow : [enters the kitchen in a halter top and short skirt]  Sorry I'm late, Dad, I was getting dressed.

Carl Winslow : [making ice cream]  Well don't let me stop you, go back and finish dressing.

Laura Winslow : I am finished.

    Carl Winslow : Oh.

Laura Winslow : So, what're we making?

Carl Winslow : Your all time favorite, Rocky Road.

    [chuckles]

Carl Winslow : The first time we made this, you were five years old, and you'd just lost your first tooth, and you were worried you couldn't take the ice cream because you lost your sweet tooth.
