Warning: Spoilers
That's not a bad thing when Charlene's family shows up, all 50 of them, and while it really isn't that much, the crowd in Sugarbakers design firm seems that large. Then comes in client Wendell Mack, insulted because Anthony has rejected his unseen wife who was attempted to seduce Anthony without luck. The main story focuses on Charlene's desire to become a country and western singer, noticed by a shyster agent who rips her off. The best scene is Anthony's Towing off of Wendell who comes back when Charlene's family is all there and Anthony pretends that they are his family, going through each one of them and frustrating Wendell who was confused by Anthony is being black and them being white. Charlene gets to sing, but it's a slow, sad song, not one of the musical highlights of the series. In spite of its coronitas with Charlene's family situation, it is rather touching, and it adds to Charlene's character that you get to meet her family.
