The Law of Unintended Consequenses
If you don't know what that is, you will after watching this episode. The doctor who treated Piper for aurora fever is obsessed with figuring out how she recovered, and is doing everything he can to figure it out in the hopes of curing more diseases. Unfortunately, when studying the sisters' blood, he is exposed to it, and it has some rather nasty side effects. This episode shows what happens when the sisters act without thought for what might happen down the road, and an innocent ends up paying the price. While the monkeys and Leo may inject a note of levity in this episode, it also shows what can happen when those with power aren't careful.

Three Monkeys and a Crazy Doctor
claudio_carvalho23 March 2007
Dr. Curtis Williamson, who treated the fever of Piper, unsuccessfully insists in calling her for follow-up exams in the hospital. Actually he is researching the blood of the Halliweel sisters in three monkeys. When is accidentally pricked with a blended mixture of their bloods, he becomes insane and evil, killing criminals to steal their organs for donation. Meanwhile, Prue is assigned to photograph Phoebe's idol, the actor Evan Stone, and a paparazzi shots pictures of them, bringing the spots on Prue. Piper tries to establish rules for Leo while staying in her house.

"Astral Monkey" is a silly episode of "Charmed", where Dr. Curtis Williamson from "Awakened" returns totally obsessed, stressed and crazy. But the process of transformation of the dedicated professional in a mad scientist is absolutely shallow. The "ins and outs" of Leo in the Halliwell sisters is an absolute lack of respect, and I believe most of the problems could be solved if Leo rings the bell of the front door like any other guest. My vote is six.

What's up Doc?

Warning: Spoilers
Dr. Williamson who treated one of the sisters for her deadly illness injects three monkeys with her blood looking for a cure and himself gaining their powers slowly driving him crazy. Prue on a photo-shoot finds one of the mommies and media attention when her client claims she's his new love interest. Very creepy as Dr. Williamson goes around looking sock and cutting up victims for their organs. His voice seems to change becoming demonic and scary while he lurks in shadows for those who he thinks aren't worthy to live anymore. Another interesting aspect tying into the first is Witches can't give blood unless they risk exposing themselves and harming innocents. Its interesting to think of the factors involved in their DNA different from a mortal of their blood can cause a well respected doctor to go crazy.

Prue becoming a media star ups the danger since photographers follow her around looking for the dirt and proving that they have to lead mundane lives unless they give up the craft. I'm glad the Evans story involved her was wrapped up him calling the press to get them off her tail, but the mommies really never serve a purpose them as a catalyst. Sure they are cute and cuddly, but pointless in the long run even though they prove the animal kingdom can handle the blood just fine.
