An Episode That Gets Really Hairy
ccthemovieman-121 March 2007
An anonymous caller from a phone booth tells police where to find a body. Upon investigation, the CSI finds a dead man inside his house. His body is covered with hair. This guy isn't just hairy, he's like the "wolf man." It turns out it's a rare condition, but people are afflicted with this unusual condition. They used to put some of these poor folks in "freak shows" at the circus, sad to say.

Anyway, the man is found shot to death. There are people - like creditors and those who left fingerprints behind at the scene of the crime - to check out as suspects.

The oddest suspect of all is a sister discovered living in the walls of the house, afraid to be seen because she has the same "werewolf" condition!

Obviously, this was a unique and sensitively-handled episode.

Another Challenge Outside the Mainstream
Hitchcoc8 February 2021
A man is found dead, shot in the head with a silver bullet. He has a rare condition which causes hair growth over the entire body. As Grissom and the gang investigate, it is found that he has a sister with the same condition. She hides in a closed up space in her brother's house. Now she is alone. This episode shows us how intolerant we are of people with physical abnormalities. The two had been made fun of and harassed by kids. Their mother even deserted them. The sensitivity shown by a few of the CSI's is uplifting.

Hypertrichosis

Late night, a woman anonymously calls the police and gives an address where there Is a body. Grissom, Warrick and Sara meet Capt. Brass at the house and Brass tells that the victim is Hayden Bradford, who lives alone. Hayden is a hairy man that looks like a werewolf and his cellphone has six calls from Michelle. Catherine and Nick also arrive at the scene and they find a broken window and a stone with fingerprint and a buried gun. Warrick finds photos of Hayden with Michelle and Sara finds an email threatening Hayden to pay his debt to a casino online. In the autopsy, Dr. Robbins tells Grissom that Hayden had hypertrichosis, and was killed with a silver bullet. Warrick and Greg visit Dan Nobler, who owns the casino online, and the print from the rock belongs to Brent Martin, who is Hayden's best friend. Brent tells that his sister Michelle was Hayden's girlfriend. Sofia and Sara go to the phone booth of the anonymous call and find that Hayden has a twin sister, Allison. When Catherine finds Allison hidden in a room in Hayden's house, the team begins to solve the case.

"Werewolves" is another episode of "CSI", with another strange disorder called "hypertrichosis". There are many suspects, but in the end the murderer is one of the less suspicious. The investigation of the CSI team is top-notch, as usual. My vote is seven.
