Angry about not getting a raise in pay and fearing that Grace Brothers will be sold to the Japanese, the department staff decide to be purposely rude to their customers in an attempt at getting sacked.
When the staff are denied their promised rise in wages they refuse to work and are rude to customers in order to get themselves fired. But then news gets around that the Japanese are going to buy the store so the staff decide to flee to Number 10 Downing Street and plea their case to the Prime Minister.—Nadia Nassar
