- TriviaWilliam Christopher appears in this episode as Mr. Heathcote, from the Internal Revenue Service. He also appears in season 7, episode 15 "A New Doctor in Town" as Dr. Thomas Petersen.
- GoofsWhen the taxes on Bee's game show prizes have to be paid, she sells all of them except the TV set and her garbage disposal. Those she kept. Then, just nine weeks later in the episode "Lost and Found," Bee believes she lost Aunt Martha's antique pin and ends up filing a $275 insurance claim. When the check arrives Andy encourages her to spend some of it on a garbage disposal. She agrees and replies by saying, "I did hate giving up that one I won in the Hollywood contest."
- Quotes
Goober Pyle: Did you know she's been walkin' all over town wearin' it?
Floyd Lawson: Yeah. It's mink!
Goober Pyle: Yeah, she told me. They're vicious little animals, ya know.
Featured review
A lot of depth to a simple episode.
First, how is Goober always away from his job at the filling station in the middle of the day? There were a lot of emotions, and human frailties on display. Bee who is on top of the world. Her backstabbing so-called friends Clara (Hope Summers), and Myra (Anzie Strickland) couldn't let Bee have her fun. But, instead turn on her. A very strong AS role. My favorite of hers is as potential home buyer Mrs Lila Sims in "Barney Fife Realtor". The Clara character can be a kind soul, or vicious witch, as here. Goober & Floyd provide all the laughs in an otherwise laughless episode. The whole winning big on a gameshow was a clever theme as everybody at one time has hoped to be in that position. Dry as dust William Christopher is perfect as the stiff IIRS agent.
