Cousin Maude
One of the funniest episodes. Archie, Mike and Gloria all have the flu and it's running Edith ragged. Maude is Edith's cousin and is willing to come ( the only family member from either side to come according to Gloria) but Archie won't have it . Maude shows up anyways and it's good for everyone except Archie. I won't go into it too much you really have to see it . I will say Maude is the perfect foil Archie and very protective of Edith.
One slight criticism I have is Archie doesn't act like he's all that sick. Carroll O'Connor was a tremendous actor, one of my favorites but his level of energy and constant yelling doesn't match someone with a bad case of the flu . Sally Struthers on the other hand gave a very believable performances of someone who's suffering a bout of the flu . From her voice and irritability to her general affect she was the most convincing. They didn't always give her enough to do but what they did she delivered.
