During the fight with the two enemy helicopters, Airwolf is visibly in combat mode. In the next frame as Airwolf dodges a missile, none of Airwolf's weapons are visible. Airwolf is shown launching a Harpoon missile to destroy the Russian sub. Air launched Harpoon missiles are 13.5 inches in diameter x 12.5 feet in length and weigh over 400 pounds. The missile would never fit into the small weapons tube under Airwolf. Additionally, with full fuel the payload capacity of a Bell 222 helicopter is only 860 pounds, so it could never carry the amount of weapons shown.

Airwolf's computer monitor shows the Russian sub firing 3 missiles at Airwolf. The first missile is taken out with a sunburst. The fourth is never shown as being destroyed.

Around the 40min mark 'Airwolf' is tracking the enemy submarine which is meant to be Russian, they fire a 'Polaris UGM-27' missile at Airwolf, these had thermonuclear warheads on them, so wouldn't be used at a close range helicopter, plus they were only used by the Royal Navy and the U.S. Navy.
