Colombian drug smuggling with Lance Henriksen
Leofwine_draca9 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
IN PLANE SIGHT is a typical A-TEAM episode: the team go up against Colombian drug smugglers and the setting is an exotic Venezuela. You get the impression that most of the budget was spent on location filming for this story, but the requisite humour and hijinks see it through anyway. Lance Henriksen is a great choice for one of the villains of the week too.

Enjoyable entry

When a cargo plane develops engine trouble over Venezuela, the pilot safely lands only to find himself incarcerated by authorities when cocaine is discovered aboard his aircraft, and his family hire the A-Team to get them out, which isn't going to be easy, however in yet another enjoyable episode Hannibal has a plan. Murdock plays a psychiatrist and BA gets hypnotised. A young Lance Henrikson stars.

In Plane Sight
Prismark1027 December 2020
A pilot is flying from Columbia to America and is carrying some turquoise for a jewellery maker. He has engine trouble and lands in an air strip in Venezuela.

The pilot is arrested as the boxes also contained cocaine. What a dim pilot.

Luckily the pilot is a decorated soldier as well as his father. They may not have a lot of money but the Hicks charm the A Team to do the job.

The A Team are not hired to break out their son but find out who used him for smuggling.

A bit of pressure on a nearby operator who finds the pilots gives the A Team an important lead. Soon they are on their way to Columbia, in their sights is Mack Dalton a well connected drug smuggler.

A solid episode. Amy is no longer in the show but she is mentioned. No location shooting took place in South America. There was a nice if silly trick to lure the bad guys out of Columbia.

Murdock is less irritating as he behaves rather normally at first, even reading a book on psychology. BA has hypnotism used on him to get him on a plane.

Lance Henriksen gives the episode a bit of class as the main villain.

Judy Strangis makes this one
aramis-112-80488014 February 2024
Beautiful Judy Strangis plays a woman desperate to get her brother off a drug-smuggling charge in Venezuela.

This episode has a few nice twists on the usual situations, for instance the question of how to get B. A. to fly . . .

Fortunately, Strangis goes along for the ride and brightens an otherwise dark episode where the team is caught between impatient drug smugglers and Venezuelan cops. It's too bad she didn't become a permanent/impermanent part of the team. I had friends b ack in the day who tried to get me to watch Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Maybe now I will.

Overall, not a bad episode.
