Only three hours left: three hours of suspense, tragedy and endless scheming. That's the beauty of 24.
Picking up from the closing minutes of the last hour, Episode 22 sees Jack, Chloe and Adam working together to locate Tony, who's about to give up Jane Saunders in exchange for his wife. Meantime, Senator Keeler confronts David Palmer with the evidence supplied by Sherry regarding the Alan Milliken cover-up, and Wayne Palmer initiates a covert operation to silence his former sister-in-law for good.
As well as bringing the season's main plot thread - the virus - towards its conclusion, this episode also elevates the status of the Keeler character, who was basically an extra in the first hours of Day 3 and has now become an important player in determining the outcome of the show's politics storyline. His part isn't big enough to justify a regular cast promotion (he's also too sleazy for that to happen), but his brief presence is every bit as valuable as Kiefer Sutherland's series-long commitment, especially since the end of the season is right behind the corner.
