One of the most emotional moments from This Is Us has been brought to life. Photographer Karen Rainier, a fan of the NBC show that kept fans weeping with joy and sorrow throughout season 1, used Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) wedding as inspiration for a special, equally tearjerking wedding photo shoot.
The boho-style setting recreated the couple’s courthouse hitching, complete with a Terrible Towel, as well as the apartment decorated with lights where they renewed their vows. Every detail, including the muffin cupcake and Rebecca’s floral crown,...

Just days after it was reported that Terri Hatcher has joined the cast of Supergirl, we learn that Kevin Sorbo from God's Not Dead and Kull the Conqueror has joined up as well. Oh yeah, he may have had a "minor" role in the TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess.
Andrew Kreisberg, the executive producer of Supergirl, welcomes him to the show.
“Since his days as Hercules, Kevin Sorbo has brought such a strong presence to the screen and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join us on Supergirl."Guilty Pleasure Time

Word to the wise: don’t mess with Jennifer Lawrence.
Lawrence, 26, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday where she finally got her revenge on Chris Pratt for cropping her out of his social media photos.

It’s the last day of June, and Billy Bob Thornton and co-star Nina Arianda are standing outside of Los Angeles City Hall, braving the summer heat to shoot a scene for their new Amazon series “Goliath.” It’s the show’s penultimate episode, and IndieWire is spending the day with the cast as they prepare to wrap Season 1.
Written by the Emmy-winning David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro (“The Practice”), “Goliath” stars Thornton as lawyer Billy McBride, whose alcoholism ruined his marriage and got him booted from his own company by his former partner Donald Cooperman (William Hurt). Billy’s apathetic lifestyle changes when low rent practitioner Patty Solis-Papagian (Nina Arianda) enlists his help for what seems like a straightforward wrongful death case. Instead, it pits him against his old company.

There are plenty of reasons why summer is many people's favorite season – the quality of TV usually isn't one of them.
The months between May finales' live-Tweeting and fall premieres' awards-contender chatter has long been a proverbial dumping ground for shows the networks use to fill dead air between reruns and informercials. But that doesn't mean there aren't a few exceptions to this age-old pattern.

I rarely write obituaries about famous people — because while I admire what many people have done in their careers, I feel it is somewhat disingenuous to write about someone at such a tragic time when I myself have no personal connection with the person who has passed away. We actually have a policy here at Sound On Sight; I discourage our writers to avoid publishing news about celebrities or industry folk who have died unless they have something deeply personal to say or have an extensive knowledge of the person’s life and work. In other words, we restrain from publishing click bait articles, and so this is not a news story. I’m not here to announce the death of a great man. This is instead a small tribute...

I've made my peace with pre-awards ceremony, red carpet arrival shows. It wasn't that hard, really. As a film geek, TV junkie and pop culture consumer, I've been watching awards shows for years. Over the course of the last decade or so, I've tuned in a bit earlier every year to catch the pre-ceremony red carpet specials. But as a feminist I agreed with The Guardian's Hadley Freeman, who said, "The red carpet is a strange zone in the western world, one utterly untouched by feminism. Somewhat less uniquely, it is a place where there is a tacit agreement that both celebrities and public are idiots and will be treated as such by entertainment journalists." Now, having arrived at a point where I diligently switch back and forth between whatever host network's official (more "classy") red carpet show is airing and the E!'s loud, obnoxious fashion-fest, I feel wracked with guilt.

What a great time to be a TV junkie. NBC’s “Community” is back in prime form with the return of Dan Harmon. HBO launches the incredible “True Detective” on Sunday and “Sherlock” returns stateside next weekend. There’s enough quality out there that FX’s “Justified” could get lost in the shuffle. Don’t let that happen.
With a smart pair of season-opening episodes, “Justified” is back with its complex blend of humor, action, wit, and southern charm. As the writers do every season, the tone has been tweaked again this year, resulting in a start that feels darker, deadlier, and more dangerous than the last few seasons. This is great TV.
Television Rating: 4.5/5.0

This 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards takes place on Sunday night at 8pm on CBS. Usually an exciting event for me and every TV junkie out there, this year it just isn't all that sexy to me. The nominees are 'meh' and much of the same old faces, and to be quite frank it is up against the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad at 9pm, which, I'm sorry Emmy, you will lose out to here on the East Coast. Still, below are my picks and perspectives and I will be live tweeting during each as best that I can. The other aspect is that there really are not many Black folks nominated. As popular as Scandal is, Kerry Washington's performance was more solid in the short...

Baseball Wives: Meet the Cast
If you felt like you didn't really get to know the cast of Baseball Wives from its recently released supertrailer, you're in luck, as VH1 has released separate individual interview videos for all six cast members.
In said interviews, we spend a few minutes with each woman and establish who she is, where she came from, and where she'll be going in season one. There are stories about meeting husbands/boyfriends, who swept these ladies off their feet and gave them a taste of power and luxury, as well as information about what a baseball wife has to deal with and where these women were before they became wives of Mlb players.
In a nutshell, these six videos should act as a pretty decent prologue to the show and prepare you with regards to just what kind of crazy we're in for this go around.

Geek Girl Navigating the World – Supernatural will top my list for a long, long time
I am kind of a TV junkie. I’ll admit that. There are several shows that I watch frequently and have a tendency to recommend to anyone who’ll hold still long enough to express even the barest hint of interest. There are also several shows that I have purchased in their entirety on DVD. For a long time, if I were asked what my favorite show was, I wouldn’t have been able to name one.
That all changed in 2005. I considered the WB to be a haven for soapy and fairly ridiculous teen-drama fair after they’d pretty much abolished and animation line-up that I’d loved to watch. There was a new show premiering, though, that looked promising. As a sci-fi/fantasy fan, the lack of anything to take the place of “The X-Files” was disconcerting.

USA Network is hoping to put together a "doctor in unusual circumstances" one-two punch with its new show Necessary Roughness following the new season premiere of Royal Pains. After HankMed has its way with you, Necessary Roughness will offer up a therapist who finds herself diving into less than the normal routine, and since the world of physical health doctor out of water did so well, hopefully the mental health world will perform as well.
Necessary Roughness has a few more chinks in its armor than most of the new shows that USA puts out, and what stands out most is that it is difficult to tell where it's going, and it's even more difficult to tell who exactly the show is for. The pilot sets us up with Dr. Dani Santino (Callie Thorne) as a therapist who is a fan of hypnotherapy, and the first thing that happens in...

In 1941, a group of men from various countries and personal backgrounds makes a daring escape from a Russian gulag during the height of the Soviet Union’s brutal and inhumane rise to power as a Communist powerhouse. This rag tag group of men traveled more than 4,000 miles by foot across the most rugged and harsh landscapes; across the bitter cold of Siberia, through the endless desert and finally across the Himalayan mountains, to reach their freedom, defined differently by each man. Three men survived this awesome trek. The Way Back is inspired by these real events.
Writer/director Peter Weir (The Truman Show, Dead Poet’S Society) brings us The Way Back, one story of a less-familiar part of history from the WWII era, whereas the cruelty of Stalin’s Communist Soviet empire was greatly overshadowed by Hitler’s Nazi Germany. Innocent men, both young and old, were sentenced to...

Doug Benson produced another »Doug Loves Movies« podcast in front of a live audience at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles and welcomed Ellen Page, Steve Agee, James Gunn, Sean Gunn and Michael Rooker last Tuesday. Although all five guests were involved in »Super«, they only spoke briefly about the movie, praising Ellen's amazing performance and mentioning the successful VOD release. Most of the time was spent playing the »Leonard Maltin Game«, a regular feature of the podcast, where Benson reads the cast of an unknown movie in reverse order (star of the movie comes last) from Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide and his guests have to guess the title after deciding how many names they need to do so. You can listen to and download the entire podcast on douglovesmovies.com, iTunes or here on Epo. For those who care, today marks the official 5th anniversary/birthday of Epo.

Former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant and Espn sports reporter Erin Andrews stopped by The Grove to chat with "Extra's" Mario Lopez about watching "brainless TV" and why she decided to do "Dwts."
"I'm a reality TV junkie... because I watch so much sports, I need brainless TV," said Andrews.
Calling herself a "daddy's girl," Erin said it's because of her father that she's so into sports, and that as a child she "sat on...

Every year, the Zap2it team heads to San Diego Comic-Con to bring you the minute-by-minute TV news and buzz you love.
Though many of us journos are veterans who know the Convention Center inside and out and have figured out exactly which lines are worth standing in and which hot dogs carts should be avoided, but as Zap2it's newest Staff Editor, "we" as in "me" -- Carina Adly MacKenzie -- have never experienced San Diego Comic-Con. And here's how the story begins.
Dear Diary,
I wanted my first time to be special. I made sure I was prepared, and got plenty of advice from others who had done it before. I hoped to ease into it, because I plan on doing it more often in the future. I was going to be with over 100,000 people... how bad could it be?
I'm definitely a TV junkie, and I love...

This is the one day where the comics and films align properly at Comic-Con, mainly because you get the Marvel and DC presentations of their upcoming features. That's right, this is the awesome Saturday schedule for Comic-Con, and it's about time.Need your fix of the "Green Lantern"? Well it depends on what kind of medium you want the DC creation in. Of course you can attend the massive Warner Bros Pictures panel that not only shows off "Green Lantern" but Zack Snyder's "Sucker Punch" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". If you want it more along the comic sector, then you can go to panels like Green Lantern: Emerald Empire. That's not the only thing that DC is dishing out. Man, you look at this list for Saturday and you think that DC has complete dominance at least animated and comic-wise on the Con. They're doing...

Watch out, Rob! Taylor thinks your girlfriend has smooth moves and he’s not afraid to talk about it!
The scene every Twi-hard has been waiting for, or dreading, finally arrives in the latest film Eclipse when Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) finally lock lips!
For Taylor, this was the best part of filming the new movie. “I got to kiss Bella for the first time. That was probably the biggest thing. Bella is a fantastic kisser,” 18-year old Taylor said about his 20-year -old costar at the June 12 La Twilight junket.
The real life lothario, whose most recent relationship was with country star Taylor Swift, also admitted that like his character Jacob he would fight for the woman he loves. “If it’s important enough for you — then yeah. Definitely. I’ve fought for a woman.”
Of course, as is always the case with Taylor,...

Passionistas: We're wondering if you’re still watching reality TV.
Mary: Oh, my God, I am.
Passionistas: Are you still using your laser pointer?...

Robbie Williams has admitted that he has become a "reality TV junkie" with his girlfriend. The ex-Take That star confessed that he would even consider appearing on Celebrity Big Brother or I'm A Celebrity... if his music career flopped. "I'd like to do something like that, but I have too much of a career to do it," he told Manchester's Key 103. "It would be too much of a risk, people would say, 'Oh that's what he's (more)...
