Leonard co-wrote and co-stars alongside Jess Weixler in what is described as an honest and hilarious portrait of a married couple on the precipice of parenthood. The pic follows Jackie (Weixler) and Elliot (Leonard) who, with less than a month until the birth of their first child, embark on a madcap odyssey of self-discovery in an attempt to rid themselves of the inherited dysfunction of their own upbringings.
Ross Partridge, Janicza Bravo, Jennifer Lafleur, Beth Grant, Tom Bower, and Michael Chieffo co-star. Leonard also produced the pic with Chelsea Bo and Sean Drummond. Gravitas Ventures Vice President of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi negotiated the deal with Ben Schwartz and Josh Braun of Submarine.

Well, that's one award show Seth Rogen will never forget During the March 9 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 38-year-old actor recalled the time he was high and bumped into Bryan Cranston at a Golden Globes after-party. "There's been times where I thought I was fine," the Superbad star told Jimmy Kimmel, "but I was not." For Rogen, the Golden Globes "are a nightmare." So, the Pineapple Express alum had a "weed lollipop" throughout the night. "In my head, I was like, 'I'm really high, but I'm keeping it together,'" Rogen recalled. "Like, that was what was I kept thinking in my head. Like, 'Man, this thing is f--king me...

The number of podcasts being adapted for television is set to explode over the course of the next few years, with audio IP rivaling books as Hollywood’s go-to source for inspiration.
The podcasting business has been a growing source of intellectual property for the small screen for the last couple of years with the likes of Amazon’s Homecoming, USA Network’s Dirty John and ABC’s Alex, Inc. But Deadline understands that the number of podcasts in various stages of development to be adapted is now well into three figures. These includes the likes of Wondery’s crime drama Over My Dead Body and cult drama Guru: The Dark Side of Enlightenment, paranormal series Welcome to Night Vale, Neil Strauss’ investigative series To Live and Die In LA, basketball cheat scandal Whistleblower, Australian crime series The Teacher’s Pet, ESPN’s 30 for 30 on Clippers owner Donald Sterling The Sterling Affairs,...

Fox’s oddball, already-smash-hit celebrity singing game show “The Masked Singer” returned Wednesday, revealing at the end of its third episode that the identity of one of its famous contestants — who performed Florida Georgia Line’s “Get Your Shine On” disguised from head to toe in an elaborate Deer costume — was none other than football legend Terry Bradshaw.
This episode saw the return of Lion, Deer, Peacock, Unicorn and Monster. Each performed solo in succession this week, rather than in sing-offs, which was the format showrunner Izzie Pick Ibarra told TheWrap the show would be following from here on out.
Next, it was time for panelists Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke and guest panelist Joel McHale, along with the studio audience, to choose which member of the group was the “weakest performer,” who would then be eliminated and unmasked. And that ended up being poor Deer.

The bloodshot, grin-wrinkled eyes of Seth Rogen and James Franco have been dopily gazing out from posters all over town lately. The pair star in Friday's "Pineapple Express," a caper built on the stoner vibe present in many of writer-producer Judd Apatow's comedies. But "Pineapple" is hardly the first film distinguished (or improved) by an appreciation of the sinister smoke. Here are a few classics renowned for going one toke over the line.
