"Terrifier 2" marks the latest cinematic appearance of Art the Clown, one of the newer faces in the ever-growing canon of notable slasher villains. Art made his debut in Damien Leone's 2008 short film "The 9th Circle," followed by the 2011 short "Terrifier," later to be adapted into a 2016 feature film. Leone's 2013 anthology film "All Hallow's Eve" also featured an Art the Clown segment. Currently, "Terrifier 2" is playing in limited release and is gathering a good deal of attention for its extreme gore and scrappy can-do success in a theatrical environment typically only friendly to the biggest of blockbusters.
Art the Clown is a creature that appears on Halloween night to wreak havoc and commit extreme acts of violence. He doesn't speak or even make noises, communicating solely through mime. Even when he laughs or screams, he is silent. At first glance, Art was clearly designed after Paul Beaumont,...

If there’s one word to describe the style of Nora Fingscheidt’s directorial debut it would have to be ‘schizophrenic’. Which for any other film might come across as a criticism. However, for telling the story of a wayward nine-year-old with severe anger management issues this high-energy, funhouse aesthetic proves to be the perfect platform.
Said nine-year-old is Benni (Helena Zengel) a victim of childhood trauma which now manifests with obnoxious, anti-social and even violent behaviour. She’s been passed along from foster parent to group home to shelter and is rapidly running out of places to be housed. And while it’s easy to sympathise the film never ignores Benni’s responsibility for the situation. She goes out of her way to aggravate all those around her; spitting out offensive language, mocking the disabled and even assaulting the very people closest to her. Yet, Zengel throws so much earnest anger,...

After numerous leaks and paparazzi shots, the first official look at Zachary Levi in costume and Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman from DC Comics movie “Shazam” has been released online. (See it below.)
“I wanted to keep the shorter cape as a throwback to the original because that’s something that sets him apart from Superman or Batman,” the director David Sandberg told Entertainment Weekly. “It makes him feel a bit more Golden Age superhero, which is the vibe I’m going for.”
After photos surfaced in March of Levi in full costume on the set of “Shazam,” Men’s Health took a swipe at the actor, asking if he was wearing fake muscles under his costume. “The actor’s arms looked huge in recent set photos, but are they real?” they wrote. “We’re still not buying it.”

“Shazam” headliner Zachary Levi has struck back at his body shaming critics by posting a shirtless picture of his workout progress on Instagram.
“Hard work, over time, plus chicken & broccoli, minus carbs, divided by whey protein, in which ‘X’ represents the amount of supplements and ‘Y’ represents the sentiment of ‘Why the hell am I doing this to myself?!'” wrote Levi wrote, who has been batting off accusations that he is using padding to fill out his superhero’s muscular physique.
It’s like the old saying goes, “Hard work, over time, plus chicken & broccoli, minus carbs, divided by whey protein, in which “X” represents the amount of supplements and “Y” represents the sentiment of “Why the hell am I doing this to myself?!”, multiplied by shameless selfies whilst staring into nowhere…carryyy theee ooone…equals results.” ??”? by @ericblackmon / “Tan” by Hefe Filter / Body by Jake. ??’???’?

Despite what has been jokingly referred to by fans as “LeviGate,” Levi has remained enthusiastic about the project, regularly posting pictures on social media of his time in the makeup trailer and on set. He even compared the immense amount of hair gel he used to get Shazam’s famed slicked-back do to LazyTown villain Robbie Rotten.
Whether he’s packing muscle or padding, Levi will fly into the DC Universe when “Shazam” hits theaters on April 5, 2019.

Oil-rich Venezuela has emerged this week as a major new buying force at the Los Angeles Screenings -- as long as program sellers don't mind jumping through hoops to get paid. Dean Koocher, director of Latin America for Icelandic producer Lazy Town Entertainment, closed a deal Tuesday to sell the kids' series Lazy Town to Venevision, a private Caracas-based TV channel that is part of Venezuela's Cisneros Group. Of course, doing business with Venevision would be simpler if they had PayPal.
