TORONTO -- Quebec film director and TV host Guy Lepage is to receive the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award at the upcoming Banff World Television Festival, organizers said Tuesday. Lepage, a founding member of the Quebec comic group Rock et Belles Oreilles. and most recently host of the Tout le Monde en Parle talk show since 2004, will receive the honor for his TV comedy creations during a gala on June 12. Lepage's other credits include creating the Quebec sitcom Un gars, une fille, and the 2003 feature comedy Camping Sauvage, which he directed, executive produced and starred in. Earlier winners of the Sir Peter Ustinov Comedy Award include including Barry Humphries, Dame Edna's alter-ego, John Cleese, Bob Newhart, Martin Short, Tracy Ullman and Kelsey Grammer. The Banff World Television Festival is set to take place June 11-14 in the Canadian Rockies.
