In 'Justin Bentley Presents MLB', there is a certain mode known as 'World Series'
In this, 2 players are enabled to compete in a best-of-seven game series, in which only the most cunning, creative and clutch micro-manager of the sport will live to see the ticker tape parade and the World Title crown. This is how it always is.
Unless you speak of the legendary Justin Bentley-Tom Isaacs rivalry.
(Though as much a rivalry as perhaps, say, the New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox were pre-2004 as far as one sided affairs go)
Never has one humorously dangled the title by a line in front of somebody for so long, never has one man cleared so much space in his rafters for the future banners to be line up, never has one man, time and time again, put the ball down to his foot and insisted to the other "I promise, this time I will not let you get so tantalizingly close to finally kicking it before pulling it away in the clutch..."
The sheer numbers of it are just ravishing:
~6 consecutive World Titles ~3 consecutive World Series sweeps ~2 No-no's ~7 walk-off's ("Tettleton got all of that one....championship!")
Domination fails to encapsulate the essence of it. Dynasty falls short of painting the entire wondrous landscape of it.
It is and will forever remain, 'Justin Bentley presents MLB'
